About the Role:
One of our is looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support project tracking, data management, and day-to-day coordination with our Project Manager. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable living inside Smartsheet and Excel every day building and maintaining trackers, automating repetitive work with macros, and keeping project data clean, current, and easy to act on. This is a contract position for a candidate who can start quickly and work independently once ramped up.
What You'll Do:
Maintain and update project trackers, schedules, and dashboards in Smartsheet on a daily basis.
Enter, validate, and reconcile project data across Smartsheet and Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Build and maintain Excel macros/VBA scripts to automate recurring reporting and data-entry tasks.
Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to capture status updates, task changes, deadlines, and action items.
Flag data discrepancies, missed deadlines, or resourcing gaps to the Project Manager proactively.
Generate regular status reports and summaries from Smartsheet/Excel data for the PM and stakeholders.
Manage sheet permissions, workflows, forms, and automations within Smartsheet.
Support ad hoc data requests and light process documentation as the project evolves.
Support coordination on a large-scale public-sector implementation engagement, working alongside a national advisory/consulting partner team.
What We're Looking For:
3-5 years of experience in a project coordination, data coordination, or similar operations/admin support role.
Strong hands-on experience with Smartsheet (sheets, reports, dashboards, automations/workflows) or advanced Excel skills including macros/VBA.High accuracy and attention to detail when entering and managing data at volume.
Comfortable working closely with a Project Manager, taking direction, and proactively surfacing issues.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple trackers/timelines at once.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for status updates and coordination.
Comfortable working within a large-scale, public-sector implementation engagement alongside an external advisory/consulting partner team.
Nice to Have:
Experience with both Smartsheet and Excel macros (not just one).Familiarity with project management fundamentals (timelines, dependencies, RAID logs, status reporting).Details
