About the role
Volunteering In Jordan School District If you are interested in volunteering in one of Jordan School District's schools, reach out to their front office to express your interest. All volunteers who have "significant unsupervised access" to children, as determined by the school principal, must complete the Volunteer Application, which must be done annually. Once the principal has reviewed your application, the school will determine if you need to schedule the fingerprint/background check, which is at no cost. Bring a state issued ID to the Human Resource Department for your scheduled appointment. As required by the Utah Legislature in 2019, volunteers must also take the "Code of Conduct" training and sign an acknowledgement form before visiting HR to complete the background check.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
