Role Description:
The Plastic Surgery RN is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is responsible for providing direct nursing care to plastic surgery patients across the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative continuum. Daily responsibilities include patient assessment, education, preparation for surgery, assistance during procedures, and monitoring recovery and follow-up care. The RN will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure safe surgical practices, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control and quality standards. The position also involves coordinating patient appointments, managing clinical workflows, and promoting a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency in Plastic Surgery Nursing and experience caring for patients undergoing Plastic Surgery procedures.
Strong Nursing foundation, including patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and postoperative care.
Experience in the Operating Room and Surgery settings, with knowledge of sterile techniques and perioperative protocols.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida; BSN preferred.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe.
Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic, trauma-informed care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment.
Prior experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures, or oncology-related reconstruction is highly beneficial.
