About the Role: Our client is looking for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead a busy retail pharmacy in the Bronx. You'll oversee daily operations, supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, and make sure every prescription is filled accurately and in compliance with the law. This's a hands-on leadership role for a licensed pharmacist with retail pharmacy management experience.
What You'll Do: Review and fill provider prescriptions, checking that each one is appropriate and legal Prepare medications with the correct dosages and materials for each patient Counsel patients, listen to their concerns, and give clear medication guidance Maintain accurate patient profiles and dispensing histories Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring for expired or deteriorating products Organize the pharmacy so products are quick and easy to find Direct the daily work of pharmacy technicians, including scheduling and input on performance reviews Tell senior management about performance or behavior issues, leave requests, and accommodation needs Keep the pharmacy and its staff compliant with federal, state, and local laws and facility policies Stay current on HIPAA and Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA) requirements
What You Bring: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree Active, unrestricted New York State pharmacist license (required, not in process)5+ years of retail pharmacy management experience Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills Experience with pharmacy patient management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English
Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills to handle medications, tools, and equipment
