About the role

We are partnering with a leading financial markets technology organization that plays a critical role within the global financial ecosystem. As the business continues to invest in the modernization, security, and scalability of its infrastructure, they are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a highly collaborative team responsible for supporting mission-critical enterprise and data center networking environments.
Key Responsibilities: Support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud environments. Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching platforms including IOS, NX-OS, and XR technologies. Support and maintain Cisco ACI environments, including network segmentation, connectivity, and lifecycle management. Manage and optimize routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS across complex enterprise networks. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, performance issues, and infrastructure outages. Support firewall technologies including Cisco Firepower (FTD), VPN connectivity, and network security initiatives. Participate in network upgrades, migrations, deployments, maintenance activities, and technology refresh projects. Support hybrid cloud networking across AWS and Azure environments. Manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and enterprise connectivity solutions. Work closely with vendors, carriers, security teams, and infrastructure engineers to deliver reliable network services. Perform packet capture analysis, root cause investigations, and network performance optimization. Contribute to documentation, operational standards, governance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Technical Skills: Strong experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in large-scale environments. Advanced knowledge of routing and switching concepts including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and VPN technologies. Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms including IOS, NX-OS, Nexus, Catalyst, and XR.Experience administering and supporting Cisco ACI data center environments. Experience with Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC) and enterprise firewall technologies. Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies. Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking across AWS and/or Azure. Strong troubleshooting skills including packet analysis, network diagnostics, and performance tuning. Experience with network monitoring and management platforms. Knowledge of network security, segmentation, governance, and compliance best practices. Exposure to automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, Git Hub, or similar tooling. Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Experience working within highly available, mission-critical environments.
