This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client's business and becoming a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to Service Delivery, Resource Allocation, Communications, Business Intelligence, and Acquisitions related to major Federal IT Programs.Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic & Portfolio Governance: Provide senior advisory support on Federal IT portfolio management, including governance, strategic planning, modernization, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), and Technology Business Management (TBM).Support Federal CIO governance, FITARA compliance, and IT investment oversight.Intake and Work Management: Establish and execute the formal intake process for all new work requests. Perform and oversee the thorough assessment of each request's applicability to strategic goals and ensure the accurate dissemination of work to the appropriate internal teams for execution.Coordination and Prioritization: Coordinate with Government personnel in the assignment and prioritization of requested work.Technical and Process Leadership: Lead the implementation of PMO technical solutions, integrating financial and operational data into dashboards for executive decision support.Drive process automation and the development of repeatable operating procedures to improve transparency and efficiency.Provide team Leadership and Oversight: Provide supervision and instruction to contractor personnel performing portfolio and intake duties, ensuring that work progresses on schedule and that all deliverables are submitted as required.Financial and Investment Analysis: Apply extensive knowledge of CBP-Office of Information Technology (OIT) financial management practices to support the allocation of funding across large investment portfolios.RequirementsRequired Qualifications:A minimum of fifteen (15) years of Federal IT portfolio management and investment management experience supporting governance, strategic planning, modernization, and acquisition-related operations in complex environments.Proven leadership of enterprise IT portfolio management efforts, including management of multiple concurrent projects and providing senior advisory support across Federal agencies.Direct experience implementing platform-based and customized PMO technical solutions, integrating financial and operational data, and developing dashboards for executive decision support.Extensive background in Federal CFO Act Agency CIO portfolio governance, FITARA support, and IT investment oversight.Prior experience supporting CBP OIT, demonstrating institutional knowledge and a detailed understanding of OIT's role and the expectations of its customers within CBP.Possess an active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Desired Qualifications: Active or recent clearance with CBPSALARY RANGE: $150K - $170K (subject to change)ELIGIBLE FOR PERFORMANCE BASE BONUSChevo offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, paid leave, observes all 11 federal government holidays, 401K plan with matching, monthly SMART card employer contribution for commuting expenses, tuition assistance and more!
