About the role
Sales Application EngineerAre you a proactive problem-solver with a knack for engineering and sales? Join our team as a Sales Application Engineer in Grapevine, TX, and be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions to our valued customers!Location: Grapevine, TXSalary: 95k-140kDuties and Responsibilities:Develop system concepts and create detailed Conceptual Layout Drawings (CLD) of proposed systems using AutoCAD LT.Generate pricing for equipment using internal pricing tools and by soliciting bids from vendors, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing for customers.Collaborate closely with the Sales team to generate pricing and proposals for customers, providing technical expertise and support throughout the process.Revise drawings, pricing, and proposals as needed based on customer feedback and project requirements.Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish delivery schedules and ensure seamless project execution.Prepare projects for handoff to the Project Management team, providing ongoing support and answering questions during manufacturing and installation phases.Occasionally travel to customer locations with Sales Managers to answer questions about equipment and provide technical support.Interface with the following groups:Project Engineers: Collaborate on system layouts and design concepts.Production Engineers: Assist in developing schedules and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes.Development Engineers: Discuss the application of new design concepts and provide feedback.Software Proficiency:AutoCAD LT: Utilize 2-dimensional drawings to create conceptual layout drawings.Salesforce and BigMachines: Generate pricing and proposals for customers.SAP: Enter order information and research historical data as needed.Basic Qualifications / Expectations:Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in engineering principles.Experience with Inventor and AutoCAD to produce detailed 2-dimensional drawings.Willingness to travel 15-20% of the time (one to two trips per month) to customer locations and industry events.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Opportunities for career growth and advancement in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Supportive company culture that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning.If you're a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for engineering and sales, we want to hear from you!
