About the role
Supporting faculty and administrators, the part-time Teaching Assistant for Jewish Learning will evaluate assignments, provide feedback, and participate in meetings while working remotely for a maximum of 8-10 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
Evaluate and grade JLE assignments, including exams and extra credit, within designated timeframes
Provide clear and constructive feedback to students based on established rubrics
Participate in monthly meetings with JLE Administrators and Faculty to discuss grading issues and student performanceRequired qualifications A bachelor's degree in Judaic studies or a related field from an accredited institution
Prior experience grading or tutoring, with teaching experience preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated strong written and communication skills
Experience with online learning platforms, preferably Canvas by Instructure
