About the role

About the Role: This role is ideal for a highly motivated college senior, recent graduate, or early-career professional who is interested in gaining hands-on experience across business operations, research, marketing, events, and AI implementation. The intern will work closely with the Principals to support the growth of the platform while helping identify, test, and apply AI tools that improve the way the company operates. This is a general internship role with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and practical business execution. The ideal candidate does not need years of professional experience, but should be curious, resourceful, fast-moving, and genuinely interested in how AI can be used to improve research, content creation, outreach, marketing, project management, and internal workflows. The role will involve a mix of day-to-day operational support, research assignments, event and summit preparation, marketing coordination, and AI-enabled workflow development. Responsibilities may include helping organize information, preparing briefing materials, supporting speaker and sponsor research, assisting with digital content, testing AI tools, refining prompts, building repeatable processes, and helping the team use AI more effectively across different parts of the business. What We’re Looking For: We are looking for a high-performing intern who is eager to learn, comfortable with new technology, and excited by the opportunity to work across multiple areas of a growing business. The ideal candidate is organized, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and able to take direction while also bringing ideas to the table. A strong candidate will have an interest in AI tools, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, automation platforms, and the broader AI ecosystem. This person should be comfortable experimenting with new tools, comparing outputs, improving prompts, and thinking about how AI can make business processes faster, smarter, and more scalable. This role is especially well suited for a college senior, graduate student, or recent graduate who is interested in AI, business operations, marketing, strategy, events, entrepreneurship, or urban development. The right person should be both analytical and creative, with the ability to help on research-heavy tasks as well as communication, coordination, and execution. Experience or Familiarity Strongly Preferred Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and other emerging platforms Interest in prompt engineering, AI agents, workflow automation, and applied AI use cases Comfort researching, testing, and comparing new AI tools and platforms Familiarity with automation tools such as Make, Zapier, Airtable, Notion, Google Workspace, or similar platforms Strong writing, editing, summarizing, and research skills Ability to organize information clearly in documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and internal trackers Interest in business operations, marketing, events, strategy, or entrepreneurship Comfort using Power Point, Google Slides, Excel, Google Sheets, Canva, or similar tools Familiarity with Linked In, email marketing, digital content, or social media platforms is a plus Basic understanding of design, branding, or visual presentation is helpful but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to review AI-generated work for accuracy, tone, and quality
Key Responsibilities: Support the Principals across research, operations, marketing, event preparation, and special projects Help identify ways AI can improve internal workflows, recurring tasks, and business processes Test and evaluate AI tools, agents, automations, and platforms for practical company use Develop and refine prompts for research, writing, summarization, outreach, content creation, and project organization Assist with AI-supported research on speakers, sponsors, companies, real estate projects, city leadership, and industry trends Help prepare briefing materials, speaker notes, outreach lists, internal summaries, and project documents Support the development of summit themes, panel ideas, thought-leadership topics, and content outlines Organize information in spreadsheets, trackers, databases, and project management systems Assist with marketing materials, social media content, newsletters, email campaigns, and digital communications Help review and improve AI-generated content for accuracy, professionalism, consistency, and usefulness Support event and summit preparation, including materials, timelines, presentations, registration tracking, and post-event follow-up Research vendors, tools, platforms, and service providers that may support company growth Contribute ideas for improving internal systems, automations, communications, and operating processesAI-
Focused Responsibilities: Explore practical ways to use AI across research, marketing, operations, outreach, and event planning Build repeatable AI workflows for recurring tasks such as speaker research, sponsor research, content drafting, meeting summaries, and follow-up materials Help create prompt libraries, templates, and internal processes that improve consistency and quality Assist with organizing company knowledge so AI tools can be used more effectively Test AI agents and automation tools that can support project coordination, content production, research, or administrative work Compare AI-generated outputs and help determine which tools or prompts produce the best results Identify opportunities where AI can reduce manual work, improve speed, or create better internal systems Stay aware of emerging AI tools and trends that may be relevant to the company’s growth and operations Additional Duties Done in Conjunction with Principals Assist with preparing project timelines, internal task lists, and operating trackers Help coordinate meetings, calls, follow-ups, and project deadlines Support research and outreach connected to speakers, sponsors, partners, vendors, and stakeholders Assist with preparing presentations, one-pagers, reports, meeting materials, and internal documents Help manage registration lists, attendance tracking, contact databases, and post-event summaries Support coordination with vendors, venues, partners, and external service providers Assist with reviewing promotional materials, communications, and event materials for accuracy and consistency Help collect bios, company descriptions, logos, and promotional materials from speakers, sponsors, and partners Prepare summaries of research findings, project updates, expenses, attendance, and follow-up items Contribute ideas for improving company systems, marketing processes, AI adoption, and overall execution Ideal Candidate Traits College senior, graduate student, or recent graduate Strong interest in AI, technology, business, and innovation Curious, resourceful, and eager to learn Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment Strong written communication skills Able to take initiative and solve problems independently Excited to test new tools and improve workflows Professional, dependable, and responsive Interested in cities, real estate, economic development, leadership, entrepreneurship, or events Able to balance creative thinking with strong execution Why This Role Is Valuable This internship offers broad exposure to the operations of a growing leadership and events platform while giving the candidate the opportunity to work directly on practical AI implementation.
