Job Description:
JSG is seeking an Assembler II for a temp to hire, onsite position for our medical device manufacturing client in the greater Simi Valley area. The Assembler II is a vital part of the operation. The position builds all product and sub assemblies. The Assembler II ensures product is made efficiently and according to company approved work instructions while maintaining strict quality standards. Responsibilities include assembling products per Production System standards, providing production line support, identifying nonconforming items, adhering to company Quality System requirements, producing goods in a timely and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding production and support time standards, being conscious of continuous improvement while working, solving problems when encountered with the help of management staff, identifying possible shortages in inventory, notifying Supply Chain when necessary, and identifying root cause when reworking product. Does not require supervision. Required Skills/Abilities include the ability to communicate in English, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 8 hours, read, understand, and execute written, verbal and visual instructions, basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, clear and concise communication, learning concepts quickly, working well as an individual and in a team, using handheld and power tools, reading standard work instructions, adhering to rules and regulations, driving a walk behind forklift, and having basic ability to operate a computer.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma, 2 years work experience in manufacturing.
Pay rate:
