Job Summary:
A Porter assists the Sales and Service department in moving and cleaning vehicles as well as delivering them to customers.
Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
- Places stock tags in vehicles.
- Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving vehicles as directed by management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
- Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
- Maintains value, quality, and integrity
- Drive company vehicle to deliver and pick up customer vehicles
- General Company Related Duties and Responsibilities
- Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards.
- Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be able to lift items up to 50-75 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and computers.
Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Working Conditions: The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
