About the role

Ophthalmic Technician Under the supervision of the physicians, the Ophthalmic Technician assists the physicians in their patients' eye examinations and procedures. Duties include performing workups of patients, various vision tests, collecting medical data, monitoring and maintaining patient flow, scribing, and assisting physicians with various procedures; as well as assisting with various administrative duties.
General Job Duties:
  • Gathering medical records and patient information
  • Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional
  • Preparing and administering medications
  • Providing eye care information to patients
  • Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments and equipment
  • Assisting the ophthalmologist in basic procedures
