About the role
We're a consumer products company that owns and manages a portfolio of nationally recognized brands, and we're aiming to reach $500 million in revenue this year. Our products cover e-mobility, consumer electronics, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden, cleaning and more, with global operations. We're looking for a hands-on sourcing professional to help find, develop and manage the factories and products behind our brands. You know how factory sourcing works! RFQs, samples, cost negotiation and supplier follow-up. You're organized, persistent and comfortable juggling many projects and suppliers at once. You'll support our sourcing team in bringing new products to market and keeping existing products competitive. That means identifying new suppliers and product opportunities, driving quotes and samples, negotiating costs, and working closely with product development, quality and supply chain to keep projects on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify new factories, component suppliers and ODM/OEM product opportunities that fit our brands and categories.
Send RFQs, collect and compare quotes, and build cost breakdowns to support pricing and margin decisions.
Negotiate unit costs, MOQs, tooling, lead times and payment terms with suppliers.
Manage sample requests, track sample status, and coordinate sample reviews with product development and quality teams.
Support new product launches from sampling through tooling, pilot runs and mass production.
Keep supplier records, quotes, specifications and project timelines organized and up to date.
Follow up with factories on production status, delays and issues, and escalate risks early.
Work with quality teams on inspections, defect issues and corrective actions.
Gather certifications, test reports and compliance documents for battery-powered and electrical products.
Track material costs, tariffs and market trends that affect product cost.
Attend trade shows and supplier meetings, and travel to factories as needed.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of product sourcing or purchasing experience with consumer electronics, consumer durables, outdoor power equipment or similar categories.
Experience working directly with overseas factories, especially in Asia.
Solid understanding of RFQs, cost breakdowns, MOQs, Incoterms and landed cost.
Strong negotiation and follow-through skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage many suppliers and projects at once.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Experience with battery-powered or electrical products is a plus.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
