About the role

We are looking for an LIS Data Analyst to support laboratory systems in Greenville, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys solving interface issues, maintaining accurate laboratory data configuration, and partnering with operational teams in a healthcare environment. In this individual contributor role, you will focus on the ongoing administration of the laboratory information system, help ensure reliable result delivery, and contribute to system-related improvement efforts.
Responsibilities: Oversee daily support and upkeep of the laboratory information system, including configuration updates, test build maintenance, result setup, and issue resolution. Manage the laboratory system portion of order and result interfaces, monitor message flow, and investigate failed or delayed transmissions. Troubleshoot application and interface problems by identifying whether issues originate within the LIS, the connected EHR, or an external vendor platform. Maintain accurate test catalogs, compendiums, and result code mappings to support reliable laboratory reporting. Partner with laboratory operations teams on workflows and system-related needs that affect testing and result delivery. Review HL7 result messaging to identify errors, validate data movement, and support interface stability. Use SQL queries and analytical methods to research data issues, validate configurations, and support troubleshooting efforts. Contribute to Beacon-related projects and enhancement work as needed while maintaining strong day-to-day system performance.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
