Fund Controller - Principal | Hybrid 3-days in office | Up to 500k-550k total comp A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a Fund Controller to support a rapidly growing Private Equity Secondaries platform. This is a newly created, high-impact role focused on overseeing fund accounting, operations, financial reporting, and infrastructure development across a diverse suite of private markets investment vehicles. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership to help scale the platform, enhance operating efficiencies, support new product launches, and implement best-in-class processes and controls. This position offers significant visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence the growth trajectory of a market-leading secondaries business.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the accounting, operations, and financial reporting processes for multiple private equity secondaries investment vehicles. Drive the development and implementation of scalable infrastructure, controls, and operating procedures to support business growth and increasing assets under management. Manage relationships with fund administrators, service providers, and other third-party vendors while ensuring data integrity and governance across platforms. Review and analyze budgets and expenses across multiple fund entities. Partner with investment, finance, and operations teams to improve liquidity forecasting, cash management, and portfolio reporting processes. Support the launch and ongoing administration of new products and investment vehicles. Manage investor and client reporting requests, including support related to fundraising and strategic initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with investment professionals, investor relations, finance, legal, tax, operations, technology, and marketing teams. Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight to junior team members. Lead special projects focused on operational enhancements, automation, process improvement, and strategic business initiatives.
