Position Overview: Sunset Park Community Services is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The Office Administrator serves as an important first point of contact for clients, families, providers, and community partners and plays a key role in ensuring the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be professional, welcoming, detail-oriented, and eager to support their community!
Responsibilities: Front Desk & Client Support Greet clients and visitors in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to client inquiries. Schedule and coordinate client appointments, providing appointment reminder calls, texts, or other outreach to clients. Monitor the clinic's fax and ensure documents are routed to the appropriate staff members. Maintain organized administrative records and correspondence. Insurance & Payments Check client insurance eligibility and assist with identifying insurance-related issues. Collect copayments and other applicable client payments maintaining accurate payment records. Community Outreach Assist with developing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, referral sources, and other partners. Distribute outreach materials and represent the clinic professionally at community events and activities. Staff Recruitment & Administrative Support Assist with staff recruitment and onboarding activities, including posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
Qualifications: College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience with an EMR/EHR system is preferred. Interest in mental health or healthcare is preferred. Bilingual preferred Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a growing team.
