About the role

Electrical Power Engineer Wichita, KS AreaTarget Base: $140K + Profit Sharing Relocation Assistance Available Own the design. Influence the decisions. See your work come to life. If you're an Electrical PE looking for more technical ownership without moving into management, this opportunity puts you at the center of complex industrial power projects — from initial design through construction and startup. We're partnering with an established engineering and technology company in the Wichita area that's adding an Electrical Power Engineer to its team. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you'll have meaningful ownership of the electrical scope, the opportunity to influence key design decisions, and the chance to see your work operating in real facilities. WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY OWNYou won't be designing one small piece of a project and handing it off. You'll have visibility and ownership across the electrical power scope. Own primary and low-voltage power distribution design for complex industrial projects Take electrical systems from concept through equipment specifications, layouts, and final design Apply your technical expertise to load-flow, fault, and arc-flash studies Design grounding and lighting systems that directly impact operating facilities Work with utilities to address service and power requirements Partner with vendors and procurement to select the right electrical equipment Stay involved through construction and startup instead of watching your designs disappear after handoff Visit operating plants, troubleshoot real-world challenges, and see your designs in action You'll spend most of your time designing and engineering from the Wichita-area office, with approximately 30% travel offering the opportunity to support projects firsthand and see your work come to life. YOU MIGHT BE WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR IF…You've earned your Electrical PE — this one is a requirement You have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 4–5+ years of hands-on power design experience Power distribution is your wheelhouse, and you understand how the overall system works You're comfortable jumping into AutoCAD when the work calls for itYou like seeing what happens after the design leaves your desk Industrial sites and real-world engineering challenges sound more interesting than spending every day behind a computer You're looking for a long-term home where you can build technical expertise, own meaningful projects, and continue growing without being pushed into management Bonus points if your experience comes from industrial, manufacturing, agricultural processing, chemical, food and beverage, energy, or another process-heavy environment. You don't need to check every nice-to-have box. But if you're a licensed Electrical PE who knows industrial power design and wants more ownership of the work you're doing, we should probably talk.
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY? Because good Electrical PE opportunities don't always offer this much room to actually engineer. Here, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Own meaningful work from concept through construction and startup
  • Stay technical and grow your expertise without having to move into management
  • Influence decisions by working directly with utilities, vendors, and project teams
  • Get out into the field and see your engineering work operating in real facilities
  • Build for the long term with an established company that continues to invest, build, and innovateBENEFITS & PERKSGreat engineering deserves more than a great paycheck. Here's what you can look forward to:
  • Target base salary around $140KProfit-sharing opportunity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Paid holidays, including a holiday break between Christmas and New Year'sRelocation assistance available
  • Long-term career stability with an established, family-owned organization
  • Meaningful engineering work supporting innovative industrial and sustainable technologies
  • A collaborative, family-oriented culture where your contributions matter

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
