Description: This is a contract, on-site position within the Medical Practice industry, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced clinical environment. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care to critically ill patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. The position is ideal for an Associate-level provider looking to expand their critical care experience while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill patients Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and monitoring data Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line insertion, and intubation assistance as credentialed Collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Monitor patient progress and respond to acute changes in condition Prescribe and manage medications, including vasopressors and sedatives Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic medical records Communicate with patients' families regarding prognosis, treatment options, and goals of care Participate in daily rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Provide patient education and support throughout the critical care stay Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
Requirements: Associate-level experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Current and unrestricted NP or PA licensure Board certification as an NP or PA Experience or clinical training in critical care or acute care settings Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic medical records systems Commitment to patient safety and quality care Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules Willingness to work on-site in Manchester
Schedule: 7:30p-7:30a No call required 20-bed mixed med-surg ICU Patient Volume: 11 per shift
Patient Population: Adults
Duties: Central lines, arterial lines, vent management, and intubations Support Staff: Physician and APP Must be board-certified ALS-CSU, DEA, and CSR required Paid travel & expenses
