Role Description The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience managing commercial construction, interior renovations, and build-out projects throughout New York City and will be comfortable taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through final closeout. Key ResponsibilitiesManage construction projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement logs, and overall project documentation.Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, building management, and ownership teams.Review drawings, specifications, proposals, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.Work closely with field superintendents to coordinate manpower, deliveries, sequencing, and site activities.Conduct project meetings and provide clear updates regarding schedule, budget, procurement, and outstanding items.Identify potential project challenges early and develop practical solutions to keep work moving.Manage project costs, subcontractor commitments, change orders, and billing.Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to contract documents.Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.Oversee punch list completion and project closeout documentation.Qualifications3+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within the NYC market. Experience with commercial interiors, office build-outs, renovations, or similar projects strongly preferred. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and project sequencing. Knowledge of NYC construction practices, permitting, inspections, and building requirements is a plus. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working directly with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
