About the role

Allied Staff Augmentation Partners (ASAP) is seeking qualified Mechanical Maintenance Planners to support maintenance-planning activities at Palo Verde Generating Station. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will design, develop, schedule and coordinate maintenance-planning projects. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of power-plant equipment, maintenance operations and established planning principles. Nuclear power plant maintenance-planning experience is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities: • Investigate maintenance needs and develop detailed definitions of work scope• Establish project activities, schedules and resource requirements• Prepare corrective and preventive maintenance work-control packages• Identify required labor, tools, equipment, spare parts and vendor support• Review and reference applicable maintenance procedures, drawings and work instructions• Provide alternative recommendations related to maintenance activities, scheduling and resource needs• Coordinate planning activities with maintenance, engineering, operations and other site departments• Utilize automated systems to develop schedules, spreadsheets, reports and graphics• Ensure maintenance work packages comply with NRC, federal and site regulations, policies and procedures• Review work packages for accuracy, completeness, safety and operational readiness• Maintain accurate planning documentation and support the successful execution of scheduled maintenance activities Required Qualifications• High school diploma or GED• Knowledge of mechanical power-plant equipment, maintenance and operations• Understanding of maintenance-planning principles, work-control processes and scheduling practices• Ability to interpret maintenance procedures, technical documentation, drawings and work instructions• Proficiency with automated systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly regulated work environment• Nuclear power plant planning experience is strongly preferred Export-Control Requirement All positions supporting Palo Verde Generating Station require applicants to qualify as a U.S. person under applicable U.S. Export Control Laws.
