Target Pay Rate: $50.00 – $55.00/hour (W2, employed thru Sterling Engineering)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, onsite

Job Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced CAD Designer/Drafter to support engineering and facility projects through the development, modification, and maintenance of AutoCAD drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, drafting, or updating facility, utility, or building system layouts and be comfortable supporting multiple engineering disciplines.\"Must-Have\"
Skills: Strong AutoCAD experience. Professional experience as a CAD Designer, CAD Drafter, Engineering Designer, or similar. Experience designing, drafting, or updating facility, utility, or building system layouts. Experience with one or more facility systems such as electrical, controls, HVAC, plumbing/piping, fire protection, or utilities. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, redlines, and technical documentation.
Job Duties: Create, modify, and maintain 2D AutoCAD drawings and layouts. Develop and update drawings for facility and utility systems. Support electrical, controls, HVAC, plumbing/piping, fire protection, and other facility-related systems. Review existing drawings, engineering markups, redlines, and field conditions and incorporate required changes. Perform field verification/walkdowns as needed to confirm existing conditions and identify discrepancies. Update as-built and record drawings based on field changes and engineering modifications. Identify drawings impacted by facility or utility modifications. Work with engineers, subject matter experts, and drawing/document control teams to maintain accurate documentation. Support multiple engineering disciplines and adapt to different drawing standards and project requirements.
Qualifications: Industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or other large facility experience preferred. Experience with redlines, as-built drawings, field verification, or updating existing drawings preferred. Experience with Meridian or another engineering document management system is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to work onsite and perform field walkdowns when required.
