About the role
I'm partnering with a leading energy company that's expanding its quantitative analytics team and is looking for a Senior Associate focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Modeling & Structuring. This is an opportunity to build and enhance advanced quantitative models that support: Battery storage dispatch optimization Power market forecasting (DA, RT, Ancillary Services)Structured products pricing Gas generation optimization Renewable energy analytics Trading, origination, and asset management decisions What they're looking for:3+ years of quantitative modeling experience Strong Python programming skills Experience with optimization tools (Gurobi, CPLEX, PuLP, etc.)Machine learning/deep learning experience (scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, Keras)Knowledge of stochastic modeling and forecasting Understanding of wholesale power markets (ERCOT, CAISO, or other ISOs)Experience with BESS, renewables, or conventional generation is highly preferred
Preferred:
