About the role
Leading a multi-team organization, the remote Senior Director of Data Science will set the strategy for consumer data science, guiding high-impact decisions through measurement, experimentation, and machine learning while collaborating with senior leaders across various business functions.
Key responsibilities:
Partner with senior leaders to define company-level priorities and tradeoffs related to data science initiatives
Establish the data science strategy for relevance optimization across feed, recommendation, search, and ranking systems
Build multi-team roadmaps and operating mechanisms to ensure effective delivery of data science objectives
Required qualifications:
Deep expertise in measurement, experimentation, causal inference, and machine learning
Experience in user-generated content or community ecosystems with a focus on improving consumer experiences
Proven ability to connect data science improvements to long-term business outcomes
Senior leadership experience managing multi-team organizations and delivering measurable business impact
Strong track record in recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional senior leaders
