About This Role: 2-Year Associate, Special Credits Group — The Carlyle GroupThe Carlyle Group's Special Credits Group supports stressed, dislocated, and restructuring situations across Carlyle's Global Credit portfolio. This 2-year rotational associate role focuses on restructuring execution within one of the world's leading alternative asset managers.
Key Responsibilities: Support restructuring transactions (court and out-of-court processes)- Participate in creditor and company negotiations- Build financial models with scenario analysis- Prepare investment committee materials and management updates- Re-underwrite distressed credits with actionable recommendations- Support portfolio companies post-reorganization- Maintain distressed credit watchlists- Integrate AI tools to enhance analytical workflows
Requirements: 2-4 years in restructuring investment banking, private credit, or leveraged finance- Strong financial modeling skills in restructuring scenarios- Credit documentation expertise- Knowledge of bankruptcies, liability management, and stressed transactions- AI tools experience advantageousCompensation: $150,000 base salary (New York) plus comprehensive benefits and discretionary incentives.
