Vice President - ConstructionMiami, FL - ONSITE 5 days/ week$150-$200K (plus bonus)FULL TIME ROLEManager Call NotesDoes not want a general construction background, would rather an architecture firm or large owners rep (more general background)Based in Miami - open to relocation candidatesMulti family projects and healthcare projectsMUST HAVE Build new construction - ground up constructionLuxury based projectsGreat personalityProject budgets anywhere from $100-$500 MillionAt the executive level, the VP focuses on operational excellence, financial performance, and team mentorship.Strategic Leadership & Operations: Oversee all aspects of construction operations for assigned regions or sectors, including P&L management, revenue generation, and setting regional goal initiatives.Project & Risk Management: Monitor high-profile complex projects from pre-construction through completion. This includes reviewing budgets, schedules, and quality assurance while developing risk mitigation strategies.Client & Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients and community leaders to generate organic business growth and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.Team Development: Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams. This involves hiring, performance appraisal, and coaching senior professionals and project managers.Value Engineering: Drive value engineering efforts to optimize construction costs without compromising project quality.Executive leadership at Cumming Group typically requires extensive industry experience and high-level business acumen.Experience: Senior leadership positions at larger firms often demand 15-20+ years of experience in commercial real estate or construction management.Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required. An MBA is often highly preferred for executive roles.Technical Skills: Deep expertise in construction methods, codes, permitting, and various delivery methods (e.g., design-build). Proficiency with project management platforms like Procore and ERP systems like Oracle or SAP is essential. Smartsheet and Excel are also must have skills.Soft Skills: Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills are required to influence stakeholders and resolve complex problems.
