About the role

OEM Account Representative We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our Sales & Marketing team as an OEM Account Representative at our Plymouth, MI office. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing OEM color and material approvals for all seven OEM's, ensuring required approvals, specifications, and documentation are obtained and maintained to support the sale and production of products. This role serves as a key liaison between OEM's, customers, Research, Test Lab, Color Lab, Quality, and Production to coordinate new program sampling, testing, part submissions, and PPAP documentation. The position also maintains accurate product and approval records, ensures current OEM test specifications are available, and leads ongoing tracking and communication efforts to provide timely program status updates in public folders and across the organization.
Responsibilities: Assist Sales Distribute documentation of color tracking materials Full color and materials testing documentation for OEM programs including, SASF, MCDCC, GM Trim Transmittal, Rivian, Scout, Slate, and Tesla. Manage GMW17434 requirements, documentation, tracking, and set up semiannual reviews in February and July. Product/OEM Launch Teams Assist in AAR, program distribution, new color introduction, and required paperwork for new business opportunities. Coordinate with Advanced Design on mastering opportunities and prioritization of color matching for EV Color Labs. Communication/Problem Solving Coordinate with Research, Customer Service, Sales, Tech Service, OEM Marketing, PPAP, Production and Test Lab teams to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of program requirements. Lead cross-functional meetings and follow up on action items to ensure completion. Administrative Enter PFP/RFS for interior/exterior color and testing for all OEM's. Order, enter and distribute all OEM Standards and update reports in Public Folders. Communicate with Color Lab to assist the lab's manager with setting priorities and complete all Japanese OEM's color tracking. Continuous improvement of professional and personal ability to support business needs. Follow trends and emerging markets Attend DCC conference and other seminars to research emerging color trends. Share relevant insight and trends with internal teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED is required1-year OEM Experience / Contacts etc.5+ years color formula modification & optimization experience Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to successfully pass Ishihara Vision Test Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingual Ability to travel to customer sites and facilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:5-year OEM experience with contacts Color expertise, color matching, formulating experienceABILITIES/COMPETENCIES:Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and represent the Company professionally. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer, company, vendor, and proprietary information. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain accurate records, status reports, and documentation.
