About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Emergency Medicine Department Chair to lead the Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department at a major academic medical center in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced physician with a strong background in emergency medicine, academic medicine, and department administration. The Emergency Department offers: Approximately 110,000 annualED visits, including pediatrics120 modern treatment areas Recently renovated andexpanded adult and pediatric emergency facilities Level I Trauma CenterGoryeb Children's Hospitaland dedicated Pediatric EDFast Track and specializedtreatment areas Behavioral health services Geriatric services Certified Autism CenterEMS control with specialtytransport, transfer, and helicopter capabilities Advanced Practice Providerand scribe support Epic EMRACGME-accredited EmergencyMedicine Residency Medical school affiliationand robust academic programs
Compensation & Benefits:
  • $575,000–$625,000 annually, including clinical and administrative compensation.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in EmergencyMedicine through ABEM or AOBEM.Completion of an accredited
  • Emergency Medicine residency.
  • Current or eligible NewJersey medical license.15+ years of Emergency
  • Department Director and academic Emergency Medicine experience.
  • Demonstrated leadershipexperience overseeing complex emergency medicine operations.
  • Experience with residencyand fellowship education preferred.
  • Strong administrative, interpersonal, communication, and strategic leadership skills.
  • Must be available to beginas soon as hospital credentialing and privileges are completed, anticipated totake approximately 3–4 months.
