Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support. This role will lead a small IT team while remaining actively involved in the administration and support of the company’s IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft technologies, network infrastructure, endpoint management, cybersecurity, and cloud-based identity and device management. The IT Manager will also play a key role in technology planning, project management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user technology. Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to a small IT team. Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2008 and newer versions. Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including user accounts, authentication, access controls, and identity security. Administer Microsoft Intune for device management, configuration, compliance, and endpoint security. Manage Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and related technologies. Manage and monitor Microsoft Defender and other endpoint security solutions. Establish and maintain IT security best practices, including access controls, patch management, endpoint protection, authentication, and data protection. Monitor systems, networks, and security alerts and resolve issues proactively. Oversee backup, disaster recovery, patching, and business continuity processes. Manage IT hardware, software, licensing, and technology assets. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues and provide hands-on support when needed. Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures, network diagrams, and system records. Lead IT projects, system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements. Assist with IT budgeting, technology planning, procurement, and vendor management. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations that improve security, efficiency, reliability, and user experience. Ensure IT operations comply with organizational policies and applicable security and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive IT experience, including responsibility for infrastructure, systems, networking, and end-user technology. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Strong understanding of cybersecurity and IT security best practices. Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, or providing leadership to a small IT team. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and competing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications related to Azure, Intune, Endpoint Administration, or Microsoft 365.Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and security awareness programs. Experience developing and maintaining IT policies and procedures. Experience with IT service management, ticketing, and asset management systems.
