Sabin staff, management and the Board of Trustees are committed to ensuring that fairness, integrity, and opportunity remain at the core of how we operate.Position Summary:The IT Manager oversees day-to-day technology operations and serves as a key technical resource for the organization's IT infrastructure, network, systems administration, vendor management, and end-user support. This position requires flexibility and the ability to function and manage across our IT environment. This role coordinates IT operations, collaborates with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and supports organization-wide technology initiatives that improve efficiency, security, and overall performance.Key Responsibilities:IT OperationsMonitor daily IT operations to ensure system reliability and performanceResolve escalated technical issues by coordinating with vendors and internal teamsProvide advanced high-level oversight for hardware, software and systems applications (Examples: SharePoint, Paylocity HRIS, Smartsheet)Support user account administration, permissions, system access, and onboarding/offboarding processesMaintain documentation related to systems, procedures, configurations, and operational workflowsAssist in the development and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and best practicesStrategic Initiatives & Project SupportSupport organizational technology initiatives and operational improvement projectsCoordinate implementation activities for system upgrades, integrations, and new technology solutionsPartner with department leaders to identify operational needs and recommend technology solutionsAssist in evaluating emerging technologies and process improvements to support organizational goalsParticipate in strategic planning discussions related to IT operations and infrastructureVendor CoordinationServe as a primary point of contact for external IT vendors, consultants, and service providersCoordinate vendor deliverables, service requests, maintenance schedules, and issue resolutionMonitor vendor performance and assist with contract and service-level agreement complianceCollaboration with Supervisor regarding technology purchases and renewalsSecurity & ComplianceSupport cybersecurity initiatives, system monitoring, and operational risk mitigation effortsAssist with maintaining compliance related to data privacy, system access, and organizational policiesCoordinate security updates, patches, and operational safeguards with vendors and internal stakeholdersParticipate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning activitiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field preferred.Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT operations or systems support experience, preferably in a Life Science or Global Health environmentExperience coordinating with external technology vendorsStrong knowledge of cloud-based IT infrastructure, collaborative platforms, systems administration, and operational support practicesAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and operational risk management, familiarity with NIST 800-171/Cybersecurity Maturity Model CertificationStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Ability to travel domestically for all staff meetings.Preferred certifications:CompTIA Security+Microsoft, and/or cloud platform certifications such as:Microsoft Information Security Administrator AssociateMicrosoft 365 Administrator ExpertMicrosoft Certified Power Platform Developer AssociateOther:Subject to a criminal background investigationRequest for three professional referencesVerification of education/degreesSabin's philosophy is to ensure fair, unbiased, equitable, competitive compensation and benefits. Using benchmarking and salary survey data, the annual salary for this position ranges from $110,000 - $125,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, and certifications/degree.
