We are looking for a detail-oriented and employee-focused HR Generalist to support our growing internal team.
Position Overview: The Part-Time HR Generalist will provide day-to-day support across key areas of human resources, including employee benefits, onboarding, accommodations, compliance, training, and employment verification. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being a trusted resource for employees, is highly organized, and can manage confidential information with accuracy and discretion.
Key Responsibilities: Employee Benefits & HR Administration Support the administration of employee insurance benefits, including assisting employees with benefit-related questions and enrollment processes. Administer and support commuter benefits. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Serve as a resource to employees regarding HR policies, processes, and benefits. Leave & Employee Accommodations Assist with the administration and coordination of FMLA and other employee leave requests. Coordinate documentation and processes related to workplace accommodations. Maintain confidential records and ensure appropriate follow-up throughout the process. Onboarding & Training Coordinate and support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring required documentation and employment steps are completed. Manage and coordinate new-hire training and onboarding activities. Help ensure new employees receive the information, resources, and support needed for a successful start. Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from hiring through onboarding. Compliance & Reporting Assist with state and federal HR reporting and compliance requirements. Prepare, maintain, and submit required reports and documentation accurately and on time. Support compliance with applicable federal and state employment regulations. Assist with NMSN (National Medical Support Notices) and related employee documentation. Employment Verification & Employee Support Process and respond to Verifications of Employment (VOE) requests. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll-related information. Provide responsive and professional support to employees and internal stakeholders. Assist with other HR projects and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, or a related field preferred. Working knowledge of HR processes, employee benefits, onboarding, and employment documentation. Familiarity with FMLA, employee accommodations, and HR compliance preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related systems/software.
