About the role
Innovative and detail-oriented, the full-time Social Media Producer will develop and execute a social media strategy, create engaging content across multiple platforms, and collaborate with various teams to enhance the audience for award-winning science journalism while working in a hybrid office environment.
Key responsibilities
Collaborate with the News Team to create and curate accurate social media content that aligns with the Science News voice
Schedule and manage posts using social media management tools, while monitoring and engaging with audiences across platforms
Work with the Design Team to ensure visuals enhance storytelling and promote the Science News brand
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Proven experience managing social media feeds and producing engaging content
Strong copy-writing and editing skills, with a focus on social media
Familiarity with Adobe Suite products, Canva, and graphic design software
Knowledge of WordPress and recent developments in science
