About the role

Pay: $21-$24.50 hourly based on skillset
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm Training shift Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Training typically takes a few months before moving to standard shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures and jigs. Set-up, adjusts and operates all types of machine shop equipment. Select and lay out materials. Draw sketches and calculate dimensions as required. Repair or modify existing tools. Calculate shrink rate dimensions for different plastics. Team player with the ability to work on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimum supervision. Train mold technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of troubleshooting and mold repair techniques. REQUIREMENTS:High school or equivalent preferred. Demonstrate acceptable layout Tig welding skills and quality. Able to communicate effectively over the phone and with small groups of people. Demonstrate basic computer skills. Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1+ yrs. tool & die manufacturing experience Related vocational certificate or associates degreeCNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience Able to read blue prints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment The Toro Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
