Job Description:
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions, particularly in the medical imaging and computer vision domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and scale deep learning platforms and foundation models for healthcare applications.
Develop robust ML pipelines for model training, testing, and inferencing using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and NVIDIA Triton.
Optimize models for deployment across cloud, edge, and medical devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring AI solutions into production.
Implement MLOps best practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
Requirements:
8+ years of ML engineering experience; strong in computer vision and medical AI.Expertise in Python, ML frameworks, and microservices (FastAPI, KServe).Hands-on with medical imaging formats (DICOM, NIfTI) and GPU optimization. Strong experience with cloud platforms and model deployment tools.
