A leading specialty contractor in the New York market is seeking an experienced Glazing & Facade Project Manager to join its growing team. The company specializes in complex commercial building-envelope projects, including architectural glazing, curtain wall, storefront, windows, metal panels, and façade systems. The Project Manager will oversee projects from contract award through completion, coordinating closely with general contractors, architects, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and field teams. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical knowledge of glazing and façade systems who can manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, documentation, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Manage glazing and façade projects from contract award through project closeout. Review contracts, architectural drawings, specifications, and façade details. Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, material procurement, and project documentation. Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall project performance. Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers, and installation teams. Oversee procurement and ensure long-lead materials are ordered and delivered according to schedule. Monitor fabrication and installation progress and resolve technical or logistical issues. Identify scope changes, project risks, and potential change-order opportunities. Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and project stakeholders. Coordinate closely with field personnel to ensure work is installed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Assist with project forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting. Manage punch lists, commissioning, closeout documentation, warranties, and final completion. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and construction partners.
Requirements: 5+ years of commercial glazing, façade, curtain wall, or building-envelope project management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, windows, architectural glass, metal panels, and/or other façade systems. Experience managing complex commercial construction projects. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Experience working with major general contractors in the New York commercial construction market preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
