About the role

If you privately email US from outside of this job post before WE contact you, you will be immediately disqualified from this position Full-Stack Software Engineer — AI-Assisted Development JustInsurance LLC | Full-time | Remote — worldwide applicants welcome You do not need to be located in the United States. We welcome qualified applicants worldwide, including India, Pakistan, and Latin America. Please include your time zone and normal working hours.
Compensation: USD $2,000–$5,000 gross per month, depending on experience
JustInsurance builds insurance education products and the systems that support our students and customers. We’re looking for an experienced software engineer who can take ownership of production software, solve problems independently, and use AI tools effectively while remaining accountable for the code. You will report directly to the company owner and collaborate with our existing technical lead. Your first priority Complete and improve our customer-support desk integrated with GoHighLevel. You’ll work with existing software, identify gaps, and deliver reliable workflows with appropriate permissions, testing, error handling, and recovery. Future projects include improved practice exams, SCORM/LMS learning modules, and an AI tutor that helps students study according to their exam content outline.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience personally building, maintaining, and debugging production applications.
  • Strong full-stack skills, including JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frontend frameworks, backend services, relational databases, APIs, and webhooks.
  • Sound judgment about security, data integrity, automated testing, deployments, and monitoring.
  • Ability to identify when AI-generated code is incorrect or unsafe, explain why, and verify a correction.
  • Clear English communication, proactive updates, and dependable follow-through.
  • Ability to diagnose problems, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
GoHighLevel, LMS/SCORM, and AI integration experience are valuable bonuses. SEO experience is helpful but secondary to software engineering. How we evaluate applicants We review your experience and examples of work you personally delivered. Candidates advancing through screening complete an independent, unpaid support-desk exercise capped at three hours, with AI allowed. Finalists discuss their work and make a small change during a 45-minute walkthrough. We evaluate judgment, verification, communication, and ownership alongside the implementation. Please include your résumé, portfolio or GitHub where available, a brief description of your personal contribution to a production system, compensation expectations, time zone, and availability to start. Confidential work can be described without sharing private code. Please apply through the application page rather than contacting team members through personal email or social media. If you send me a direct email without me contacting you first you will be immediately disqualified

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
