About the role

THE MOMENTOn January 1, 2027, a new federal tax credit changes charitable giving in America: donors can give up to $1,700 ($3,400 if married filing jointly) to scholarship organizations and get every dollar back — a true dollar-for-dollar credit. AFC Scholarship Fund is building the national platform to turn that policy into scholarships for hundreds of thousands of children. We're launching with seven-figure monthly media budgets, a modern data stack, and a market almost nobody else has figured out yet. The donor acquisition engine we build in the next twelve months becomes the machine that funds kids' educations for a decade.
THE ROLE: You're joining a newly built in-house media buying team — the hands on the keyboard for one of the largest new fundraising launches in the country. This is an execution-first role for someone who genuinely loves the platforms: building campaigns, structuring accounts, wiring signals, testing creative, and watching the numbers move. You'll own in-platform execution across Paid Social (Meta), Search (Google, Bing), and YouTube, with new channels added as we scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Own hands-on campaign execution across Meta, Google, Bing, and YouTube: account architecture, campaign objectives, audience strategy, bidding, budget pacing, and day-to-day optimization at significant spend.- Own signal quality: implement and maintain the Conversions API, pixels, and server-side event flows so the platforms learn from clean, complete conversion data.- Run creative testing at velocity: structured experiments across hooks, formats, and audiences with our in-house creative team.- Manage the money: pacing seven-figure monthly budgets against Lead targets in 2026, then Donor acquisition goals in 2027, reallocating to what's working — fast.- Build audiences from first-party data: activate segments and propensity scores; manage exclusions, suppressions, and seed audiences.- Partner on landing pages and CRO with our web team so the click-to-donation journey converts.- Report what matters: clear performance narratives grounded in platform and warehouse data.- Pilot new channels (programmatic, CTV, audio, emerging platforms) with structured tests before scaling.
WHO YOU ARE: A media buyer at heart: 7+ years of hands-on, in-platform direct-response buying at meaningful scale. You'd rather be in Ads Manager than in a status meeting.- Technical: deep working knowledge of the Meta Conversions API, pixel/tag implementation (GTM), server-side tracking, and attribution.- Data-driven: fluent in GA4 and platform analytics, strong in spreadsheets, comfortable against CAC and LTV targets. SQL a plus.- Scaled: you've managed six figures monthly at minimum and know how account structure, learning phases, and signal quality behave at that level.- A tester who runs structured experiments by instinct and changes course when the data says to.- A builder, energized by joining a newly built team and setting up systems from scratch.- Bonus, not required: fundraising or lead-gen direct response experience; nonprofit, advocacy, or political digital background; YouTube/Performance Max depth; Bing at scale. WHY THIS ROLE- A real data advantage: a governed warehouse, CDP, single view of the donor, and propensity models feeding your audiences.- Mission that compounds — every point of CAC efficiency is another child's scholarship.- Growth path: join a newly built team, with real potential to grow into a full-time role as the program scales. LOGISTICSRemote within the US (Austin, TX advantageous). This is a contract role, an estimated 15–20 hours per week over an initial 3-month term, with potential for full-time hire based on fit and organizational needs. Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience. AFC Scholarship Fund is an equal opportunity employer.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
