About the role

Location: Remote – Central U.S.
Travel: Frequent travel required This is a business development role for someone who understands that selling commercial equipment begins with understanding the customer’s operation. The right candidate will build relationships across fleet leadership, procurement, maintenance, engineering, and executive teams; translate operating needs into viable trailer solutions; and lead complex opportunities through close.
What you’ll do: Develop new business with national and regional fleets Own the sales process from prospecting and discovery through specification, quotation, negotiation, and close Build multi-level relationships within complex fleet organizations Understand customer applications, equipment requirements, maintenance considerations, and lifecycle needs Partner with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Pricing to develop commercially and technically viable solutions Maintain disciplined account plans, pipeline, forecasts, and customer intelligence in Salesforce
What we’re looking for: Strong consultative-selling, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities Ability to engage credibly with executives, procurement leaders, fleet managers, engineers, and maintenance teams Technical curiosity and the ability to translate customer needs into viable equipment solutions Commercial judgment, persistence, accountability, and CRM discipline Willingness to travel frequently across the assigned market
Experience and qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered Proven success developing new business and managing complex, long-cycle B2B sales Experience with national, regional, fleet, or other high-volume commercial accounts Knowledge of commercial trailers, Class 8 vehicles, fleet operations, leasing, transportation equipment, or a closely related market Direct dry van trailer experience is highly valued but not required for candidates with relevant adjacent-industry or fleet-side experience Fruehauf offers the opportunity to help grow an iconic trailer brand while working closely with an experienced commercial team and developing solutions that support the evolving needs of fleet customers.
