Job DescriptionCorporate Accounting Analyst
We are partnering with a leading global industrial organization to recruit a Corporate Accounting Analyst for its corporate headquarters in Danbury, CT.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting background who is looking to transition into industry, or someone with a combination of public accounting and corporate experience. The role provides broad exposure across global accounting, consolidation, reporting and external financial reporting.
The Role:
Perform monthly global consolidation and reporting activities
Manage consolidation entries, account analysis and intercompany validation
Prepare equity rollforwards and analyze monthly derivatives entries
Support quarterly and annual external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
Coordinate accounting and reporting activities across global teams
Partner with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Technical Accounting and business units
Maintain compliance with SOX controls and supporting documentation
Support internal and external audits
Assist with government reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
3–4+ years of relevant accounting experience
Public accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and corporate/industry experience
CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with Workiva, Hyperion, JDE and/or SAP is advantageous
Strong analytical skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
