You'll take ownership of content pillars, editorial direction, content calendars, copywriting, community engagement, and the production process across multiple social channels.This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong hands-on execution. You'll be expected to bring your own point of view, make thoughtful editorial decisions, and develop distinct voices across multiple accounts while remaining aligned with the broader brand direction.You'll also be working within a sensitive health category, where credibility, empathy, cultural awareness, and clinical accuracy are essential. This means knowing how to communicate complex topics in a clear and consumer-friendly way, while understanding when content requires additional review or when a conversation should be escalated.AccountabilityYour success as the Social Media Manager will be defined by your ability to build a consistent, engaging organic presence while creating a scalable content operation that keeps production moving efficiently.Here's how you'll make an impact:Content Strategy & Editorial DirectionDefine and maintain clear content pillars for organic social channels.Establish editorial direction across multiple brand and personal accounts.Develop distinct tones and content approaches for each account.Build and maintain a structured content calendar and publishing cadence.Balance educational, trust-building, culturally relevant, and brand-led content.Bring an independent point of view on content opportunities while remaining aligned with the broader brand vision.Organic Social MediaOwn day-to-day organic execution across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.Maintain a consistent and relevant social presence across channels.Identify opportunities to participate in conversations and cultural moments related to women's health, hair loss, beauty, and wellness.Adapt content appropriately across channels rather than relying on identical cross-posting.Continuously identify new formats, topics, and content opportunities that strengthen organic presence.Copywriting & Content DevelopmentPersonally write strong, channel-appropriate marketing copy.Develop captions, video scripts, social copy, and longer-form written content.Translate complex or clinical topics into clear, empathetic, consumer-friendly language.Maintain credibility without allowing content to become overly clinical or impersonal.Ensure content is thoughtful and relevant to audiences navigating sensitive health concerns.SEO & AEO CollaborationPartner with external SEO and AEO specialists on blog, website, and answer-engine content.Understand SEO and AEO fundamentals well enough to collaborate effectively with specialist partners.Support briefs and written content informed by organic search priorities.Ensure SEO and AEO recommendations remain consistent with brand voice and content requirements.Coordinate content requirements between external partners and internal stakeholders.Community Management & EngagementOwn day-to-day community engagement across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.Monitor and respond appropriately to comments and direct messages.Build authentic relationships with the audience.Identify recurring customer questions, concerns, and themes that can inform future content.Exercise strong judgment when responding to sensitive health conversations.Escalate clinical or high-risk questions where appropriate rather than providing unsupported medical guidance.Content Accuracy & ApprovalCoordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure health-related content is reviewed before publication.Establish a lightweight and dependable approval process.Balance accuracy with the need to maintain content velocity.Ensure claims and educational content are appropriately validated.Prevent the approval process from becoming an unnecessary bottleneck while maintaining required quality standards.Content Production & Workflow ManagementBrief marketing operations, video-editing, and other creative resources on content requirements.Coordinate content production from idea through approval and publication.Maintain visibility across content status, deadlines, dependencies, and approvals.Ensure contributors have clear briefs and expectations.Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process.Keep the content engine moving without requiring constant founder or leadership involvement in individual deliverables.AI-Enabled Content OperationsUse tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for ideation, research, drafting, repurposing, and editing.Develop efficient AI-assisted workflows for recurring content tasks.Identify opportunities to automate repetitive parts of the content production process.Use AI to increase output without compromising empathy, originality, or accuracy.Independently review and improve AI-generated content before publication.Collaborate with future AI-enabled compliance and content-auditing workflows.AI should function as a productivity multiplier, not as a substitute for strong writing and editorial judgment.ColleaguesYou'll work closely with founders, clinical stakeholders, marketing operations, video production resources, external SEO/AEO partners, and other cross-functional contributors. You'll act as the operational owner of the organic content engine, ensuring that ideas move efficiently from strategy through production, approval, and publication.At Oceans Talent, you'll also receive guidance and support from your Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you're continuously growing and developing in your career.Skills and QualificationsAt Oceans Talent, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area paired with broad curiosity across the business. As the Social Media Manager, your vertical focus will be on organic social strategy, content development, and editorial direction, while your horizontal focus will include community management, SEO/AEO collaboration, content operations, AI-enabled workflows, and brand communication.To excel in this role, you should have:Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience building and executing organic social media and content strategies.Social Media: Strong experience across TikTok, Instagram, and/or YouTube, with an understanding of how content should be adapted across different channels.Content Strategy: Demonstrated ability to develop content pillars, editorial direction, content calendars, and publishing cadences.Copywriting: Excellent copywriting skills across social captions, video scripts, and longer-form written content.Community Management: Experience managing online communities and engaging directly with audiences across social platforms.Editorial Judgment: Strong ability to make thoughtful content decisions, identify relevant cultural conversations, and understand when a brand should or should not participate.Content Operations: Strong organizational and project-management capabilities, with experience coordinating multiple content streams, contributors, and stakeholders.Autonomy: Ability to operate independently, take direction from senior stakeholders, and turn strategic direction into a functioning content engine without step-by-step supervision.AI Fluency: Strong proficiency with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT for content ideation, drafting, research, editing, and workflow efficiency.Sensitive Content: Ability to communicate about health and other sensitive topics with empathy, credibility, and appropriate judgment.
