HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a well-established MEP consulting engineering firm to hire a Mechanical Designer. This full-time role offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate mechanical/plumbing system designs for a wide range of construction projects, including educational, medical, institutional, and commercial buildings. If you have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and system design experience this role is an excellent fit for you.Title: Mechanical DesignerLocation: Phoenix, AZ (On-Site)Type: Full-Time | Direct HireSchedule: Mon-Thurs 730A-530P, Friday 730A-1130APay: $70k-90K DOE(OPT welcome to apply, the company can potentially offer future H1b sponsorship or EB2/3 visa based on performance)ResponsibilitiesDesign and coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, LEED).Develop basis of design narratives, perform load calculations, and create construction design documents using Revit and AutoCAD.Manage project workflows and deliverables, delegating work effectively to production staff and providing mentorship to junior team members.Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors to define project requirements and present engineering solutions.Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in mechanical/plumbing systems by communicating with manufacturers and contractors.Oversee construction administration tasks to ensure successful project outcomes, including submittal reviews and field inspections.Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.Qualifications1-5 years designing mechanical/plumbing systems in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Experience with Trane Trace load calculations, HVAC system layouts, plumbing system equipment, and piping layout.Familiarity with software tools such as COMcheck, Excel, OneNote, and Word.Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to lead and mentor team members, and effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to professional growth.Offered BenefitsCompetitive wages and an employer-funded profit-sharing plan.401(k) plan with safe-harbor contributions.Excellent work environment with opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
