About the role

The elegance and precision of the French language demand a sophisticated understanding from AI. As a French Language Expert, you will meticulously refine AI-generated content, ensuring it not only adheres to grammatical rules but also captures the subtle cultural nuances, idiomatic expressions, and appropriate register that make French truly fluent and compelling.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate AI-generated French text for grammatical accuracy, syntactic correctness, and natural expression. Refine translations and content, ensuring cultural appropriateness and idiomatic usage for various French-speaking regions (e.g., France, Canada, Belgium). Provide detailed feedback on AI's understanding of verb conjugations, gender agreement, and complex sentence structures. Evaluate linguistic data, focusing on stylistic nuances, formal vs. informal register, and discourse markers. Identify and correct errors in AI's handling of French pragmatics, politeness conventions, and common phrases. Contribute examples of authentic, high-quality French usage to improve AI's generative capabilities.
Ideal Qualifications: Native or near-native fluency in French (C2 level CEFR). Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, French Literature, or a related field is preferred. Deep understanding of French grammar, orthography, and regional variations. Proven experience in translation, editing, or content creation in French. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to provide clear, actionable linguistic feedback. Familiarity with language quality assurance processes or style guides is a plus.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
