About the role

Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is accepting applications for a full-time Racing Official. This position performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, Entry Clerk, Claims Clerk, and Placing Judge. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Qualifications Work to fill race cards by communicating with trainers via phone, text, and in person. Receive and record all entries accurately, verifying each component of the entry. Actively seek quality entries from trainers. Assist in verifying the accuracy of the daily overnight and program. As Placing Judge, verify the order of finish for each race, communicating with the Stewards and Mutuels Department as necessary to ensure an accurate result. As Claims Clerk, follow protocols to properly facilitate the claiming of horses from all claiming races. Moderate computer skills are necessary to perform this position effectively. Strong written and oral communication skills in English is required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
