A leading hospital is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, treat, and monitor patients within individualized speech pathology treatment plans, adjusting therapy programs and goals as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical documentation skills and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team. This role also calls for a commitment to advancing clinical practice through ongoing education and evidence based care.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients per the speech pathology treatment plan; modify therapy programs and goals as needed Complete thorough, concise clinical documentation in a timely manner and accurately enter charges Understand reimbursement processes related to the practice setting Communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team; provide education to patients, families, and staff Supervise students and volunteers; clinical fellows and their mentors follow ASHA supervision guidelines Advance clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and evidence-based practice; share knowledge with colleagues Adhere to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines Align individual goals and work activities with broader system goals
Requirements:
Master's degree required Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (required)BLS certification (required)TX SLP license (required)Minimum 1 year of experience (1+ years competency required)
