About the role
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Follows all pre-established procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work
- Uses hand truck, pallet jack, and various hand tools
- Completes all job duties within given time constraints
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Cross-trains between several different jobs
- High school diploma or GEDComputer skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Needs good visual judgment to notice errors and/or defects
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multifunctional team oriented work environment
- Ability to work variable hours with short notice (up to 50+ hrs. per week)
- Ability to use hand tools and some power tools to construct shipping supports and crates
- Physical Requirements and Environment
- Must be physically capable of safely lifting a minimum of 60 lbs. without assistance, pushing/pulling 150-300 lb. items with the use of hand trucks or pallet jacks some items are large and/or awkward
- Involves standing, bending, and lifting for long periods as required
- Requires repetitive movement
- Includes and noise levels that are distracting and/or uncomfortable
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment
- Involves extensive walking and exposure to all weather conditions
- Requires ability to hear and respond to radio communications
- Requires visual acuity for accurately receiving parts
