About the role
- Serve as the official Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) or Agent-in-Charge in Texas, Florida, and/or California.
- Act as the primary liaison with national title underwriters (e.g., "First American, Fidelity"), ensuring all files meet underwriting guidelines and resolving complex title clouds.
- Ensure full compliance with state Department of Insurance regulations, RESPA guidelines, and Affiliated Business Arrangement (AfBA) standards.
- Escrow & Settlement Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end settlement processes for residential refinance and purchase transactions.
- Perform daily 3-way reconciliations of escrow trust accounts, manage wire transfers, and maintain strict accounting safeguards.
- Balance final Closing Disclosures (CDs) and ALTA settlement statements alongside Loan Factory’s mortgage processing team.
- Manage complex title defects and exceptions that fall outside automated decisioning tools (e.g., probate, divorce, unreleased liens).Technology & Process Optimization:
- Utilize core Title Production Systems (Qualia / AtClose / SoftPro) to manage initial file volume.
- Collaborate with software engineers to test and refine proprietary API integrations and automated workflows.
- Active Title Producer / Escrow Officer License in good standing in CA, TX, or FL is a must (multi-state licensure strongly preferred).Experience:5+ years of high-volume residential escrow and title experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or Agent-in-Charge capacity.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficiency with major Title Production Systems (Qualia, SoftPro, or ResWare) and comfort adopting automated software tools.
- Accounting & Compliance:
- Strong expertise in escrow accounting, wire fraud prevention protocols, and 3-way reconciliation standards.
