Job Summary:
Aaratech Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst – Banking & Financial Services to turn transaction, credit, and operational data into insight. You will build risk and performance reporting, support fraud and compliance analytics, and deliver findings that drive strategic decisions in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, validate, and analyze banking datasets — transactions, credit, deposits, loans, and customer data — using SQL and Python.
Design and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Tableau for financial performance, portfolio risk, and KPI monitoring.
Support fraud detection, AML/KYC transaction monitoring, and credit-risk analytics.
Prepare data for regulatory and compliance reporting (BSA/AML, CECL, stress testing, call reports).Perform trend, variance, and root-cause analysis on financial and operational metrics.
Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and governance across reporting platforms.
Present analytical findings and recommendations to business and risk stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.3–4 years of experience as a Data Analyst in banking, financial services, or fintech.
Strong, hands-on SQL skills — complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau, plus advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas).Hands-on experience with financial data — transactions, credit, risk, or regulatory reporting.
Strong analytical, data-storytelling, and stakeholder-communication skills.
Tools & Technologies You Will UseAnalytics & querying: SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL), Python (pandas, NumPy), SAS.BI & visualization: Power BI (DAX, Power Query), Tableau, Excel.
Cloud & data platforms: Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, Databricks.
Domain systems: core banking platforms, payments data, AML/fraud monitoring tools (Actimize, Verafin exposure a plus).
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of AML/KYC, fraud analytics, credit risk modeling, Basel or CECL concepts.
Experience with data governance and lineage tools (Collibra, Alation exposure a plus).Familiarity with statistical analysis and A/B testing for product or risk decisions.
Certifications such as Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate are a plus.
