About the role

A little about Happy Tales We have a hardworking, close-knit team that truly cares about our patients and about supporting one another. We currently have four veterinarians with different strengths and interests who enjoy collaborating, learning from each other, and helping each other grow. We have invested heavily in equipment and technology that allows our doctors to practice high-quality medicine and continue developing their skills, including:• Complete IDEXX in-house laboratory Pro Cyte, Catalyst, Catalyst One, Sedi Vue, Urine Strip Reader, and SNAP Pro plus Zoetis Imagyst• Digital whole-body and dental radiography• MyLab X90 ultrasound• Vet Ovation laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment• CO₂ surgical laser• Companion cold therapy laser• Critical care chamber for ICU patients• Vet Pro dental scaler, polisher, and drills• Tono Pen and Tono Vet• Nectar Vet PIMS and Mango We also work with a traveling board-certified veterinary dentist, giving our team exposure to more advanced dental cases. One thing we feel strongly about is work-life balance. We have local emergency hospitals available for nights, weekends, and holidays, so our veterinarians are not expected to provide after-hours emergency coverage. Benefits & Growth Our benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401k and profit sharing; PTO; CE allowance; Scrubin account; and paid professional memberships including AVMA, PVMA, NWPVMA, and WPVMA.We want our veterinarians to continue learning and developing in the areas of medicine that interest them. Whether someone is a new graduate looking for mentorship or an experienced veterinarian looking for a hospital where they can practice great medicine and still have a life outside of work, we are happy to build a position around the right person. We are open to full-time or part-time and can be very flexible with scheduling. If Happy Tales sounds like somewhere you might like to learn more about, I would love to have a casual conversation — no pressure and no formal interview required to start.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
