Details: W2 Contract Visual Designer 6 months, starting in November Hybrid in Newark, NJ40 hours a week
Pay: $48/hr. Our client is a leading global financial services organization seeking a Visual Designer to support its global marketing team. This role will create digital and print assets with a strong focus on data visualization, infographics, reports, and visual storytelling. The ideal candidate can take complex, data-heavy information and transform it into clear, engaging visual communications while working within established brand standards.
Responsibilities: Design assets across reports, infographics, web, social, paid media, presentations, and print. Translate complex information and data into compelling charts, infographics, and visual stories. Take projects from creative brief through final production. Partner with marketing, content, digital, and creative teams. Maintain brand consistency and strong typography, layout, and information hierarchy. Incorporate stakeholder and compliance feedback and ensure accuracy through final production. Support motion graphics and video projects as needed.
Qualifications: 3+ years of professional visual/graphic design experience. Portfolio demonstrating data visualization, infographics, long-form reports, and digital design. Advanced proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud; Premiere Pro experience preferred. Strong typography, layout, information design, and visual storytelling skills. Experience with Power Point and generative AI tools. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
Preferred: Experience within financial services, asset management, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another highly regulated/data-driven industry, along with accessibility and motion/video experience.
