About the role
To support clients during tax season, the part-time Seasonal Virtual Tax Specialist will provide remote assistance by answering tax-related questions and guiding clients through H&R Block's DIY tax software using chat-based interactions.
Key responsibilities:
Engaging with clients through chat to answer tax-related questions and provide guidance
Researching federal and state tax laws to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is delivered
Collaborating with a remote team to enhance the client experience and escalate complex issues as needed
Required qualifications:
Demonstrated tax knowledge through tax preparation experience or education
Customer service experience in a professional environment
Successful completion of required tax knowledge assessments
Ability to work from an approved secure remote location that meets company security requirements
A quiet, dedicated workspace and a reliable internet connection
