Data Architect
About the role
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to client business domainsand operational requirements
- Define and enforce enterprise data architecture standards, patterns, and governanceframeworks across client environments
- Lead data mesh design including domain ownership models, data product definitions, and federated governance patterns
- Architect data platform strategies covering ingestion, storage, transformation, serving, and consumption layers
- Develop data lineage, master data management (MDM), and metadata managementframeworks
- Translate industry-specific regulatory, compliance, and operational data requirementsinto architecture decisions (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare, PCI-DSS for financial services, CMMC for defense)
- Align data architecture to client capability priorities including Finance AI, Growth &Revenue AI, Supply Chain modernization, and Enterprise Office Transformation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to validate architecture blueprints againstimplementation realities and adjust designs accordingly
- Produce client-facing architecture decision records (ADRs), reference architectures, anddata strategy roadmaps
- Drive data quality, observability, and SLA frameworks as first-class architecturalconcerns
- Tier 1: Data modeling (conceptual/logical/physical), SQL and query optimization, datawarehousing and lakehouse patterns, data governance frameworks, cloud dataplatform architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), REST and event-driven integration patterns
- Tier 2: Data mesh and data product design, metadata management and data catalogs, streaming and batch ingestion architecture, column-level lineage tooling, schemaregistry and schema evolution patterns
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
